Charges against Tuscaloosa man upgraded to murder

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Police in Tuscaloosa have upgraded the charges against Alexius Foster based on new information that confirmed Antonio Williams is deceased.

Williams’ family contacted the Tuscaloosa Police Department on July 18, 2013 to file a missing person’s report.

Based on the testimony of eyewitnesses, investigators believed Williams was the victim of foul play.  A missing person’s investigation was launched, and subsequent information led Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide investigators to charge Alexius Foster with attempted murder.

Now the Metro Homicide Unit has obtained enough information to confirm that Williams is deceased.  The charges against Alexius Foster have now been upgraded to murder.
