Jury indicts former Gardendale pastor accused of killing his wife

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) –  A Jefferson County grand jury indicted former Methodist pastor Terry Greer recently. According to court documents, the indictments were made on June 21, however, they were not made public until this week.

Greer, 54, has been charged with murder and attempted murder in the murder of his wife, Lisa, and the shooting of his daughter, Suzanna.

According to police, Greer shot his wife and his daughter inside the family’s home in January.

Greer was the pastor of Gardendale-Mt. Vernon Methodist Church at the time of the shooting.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16. Greer is currently being held without bond.
