BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – Birmingham police are looking for two people who they say failed to register as sex offenders.

Debra Gayle Brown is believed to be in the Wylam area, while Cornelius Billingsly may be in the southwest area of Birmingham.

Billingsley has two outstanding probation violations for failing to notify.

Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper stopped by the CBS42 studio to talk with Sherri Jackson about the importance of the community calling in if they have seen either Brown or Billingsley.

“It’s important for the public to work with us so we can really keep a good track of our sex offenders, where they are living,” Roper said. “The rules clearly state they cannot live within 2000 feet of a school or daycare or anything like that.”
