BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – New research has found genes that increase the risk of alcoholism may also be connected to eating disorders.
After following thousands of people, doctors at the Washington University School of Medicine say they’ve found a significant number of alcoholics also suffer from disorders such as binge eating.
Scientists say physicians should be aware that the two conditions can occur together.
