RAGLAND, Ala. (WIAT) – A boy accused of in the hanging death of his half-sister will be charged as an adult.
John Dillon Salers, who was 14-year-old at the time of her death, is charged with murder for the death of his half-sister, Katelynn Arnold.
Arnold, 9, was found hanging from a tree in May of 2012.
Investigators say Salers admits he killed Arnold, but he did not reveal a motive for the killing.
Both children were staying with their aunt and uncle, who were acting as foster parents, at the time of the killing.
Salers remains in custody and is being held without bond.
