Suspect in Jasper cold case arraigned in West Virginia

JASPER, Ala. (WIAT) – Wanda Kiser, the woman suspected of hiding the remains of two missing Jasper women for more than a decade, was arraigned in West Virginia Thursday.

Kiser faces two counts of concealing a dead body.

Prosecutors say when remains were found in her storage unit last week, she tried to commit suicide by swallowing a large amount of Xanax before being arrested.

Kiser had been under house arrest since mid-July after being indicted on 17 counts of forgery in Alabama in connection with the  same case.
