WEST VIRGINIA (WIAT) — Wanda Kiser is back in jail in West Virginia after being arraigned late Thursday afternoon.
During the court proceedings she suffered a nose bleed and was taken to the hospital, however, it was determined she did not need hospital care.
Kiser was then taken to the Nicholas County Jail in Summersville where her bond has been set at $50,000 cash.
Walker County District Attorney Bill Adair says a judge has already set Kiser’s bond at $500,000 when she is brought back to Alabama making it unlikely she will go free while waiting to be tried.
He says Kiser needs to be watched closely in light of her recent suicide attempt.
Kiser’s extradition paperwork has been finalized in Alabama with Governor Bentley’s office.
The Nicholas County prosecutor’s office said this morning they are waiting on the extradition paperwork from the West Virginia governor’s office.
