TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Virginia Tech is the biggest underdog since 1992. The Hokies are young, but eager to take advantage of playing number one Alabama Saturday in the Georgia Dome.
Head coach Frank Beamer says this opportunity to play the best team in the nation doesn’t come around often.
“How often do you get a chance to play the best team in the country?,” said Beamer. “I mean how often do you wake up and get that opportunity? and it’s a good thing the game is not decided…it’s not always who should win, it’s who does win,” said Beamer.
