AUBURN, Ala. (WIAT) — Auburn’s defense is ready for Mike Leach’s air raid. Injuries mean guys like Jonothan Mincy even more important.

He says the defensive backs have been practicing on key pass defense drills to shut down the Cougars.

“Just the different strategies our coaches have us playing,” said Mincy. “We just going out there and making sure we attack the ball at all times and we’ve done a lot of pass breakups and just making sure everyone comes in and we’re going to have a big turnover this season.”

The Tigers were ranked 66th in the nation last year in points allowed. We’ll see how Gus Malzahn’s coaching staff will do Saturday.
