BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – In just four short months, the Homewood High School marching band will perform in the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. It won’t be their first appearance, though.
The band will be making its fourth appearance in the parade.
In all, the trip will cost the band $750,000 to travel to Pasadena.
The band practiced on Thursday for a special visitor – Tournament of Roses President R. Scott Jenkins.
Jenkins is visiting Homewood for a few days to learn about the city and, of course, to meet the band.
He’ll be a special guest at the band’s fundraiser held Thursday night, The March to the Roses Gala.
