BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Birmingham police are asking for help finding a man wanted for attempted murder and robbery and a woman wanted on theft charges.

Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper says callers who report information about the suspects don’t have to give their names.

“It can be an anonymous call. It can be, ‘Hey, this is what I know, this is what I think,’” Chief Roper said. Give us that piece of information and we’ll do the rest. We want to remind the community this works. When you put people’s faces out there, you do sometimes hear from people. For us, it’s really maximizing our reach.”

Mario Covington is wanted for robbery and attempted murder. He was last seen in the Southtown housing community.

Aubreia Yearby is also wanted on theft charges.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can call Crime Stoppers at (205) 254-7777.
