(WIAT)- Football is a physical game, but some parents in Springville think a youth coach has gone too far. James Miller coaches the 135lb team in the Springville Youth Football Association. According to two parents, during a practice last week he grabbed their son too hard, causing him to fear going back to the field. Other parents say they didn’t see anything that was out-of-line, and that they don’t worry about Miller coaching their children. CBS42 sat in on a SYFA board meeting Tuesday where both sides gave their take. No action was taken against Miller, and charges have not been filed as of yet.
