UPDATED: WHNT News 19 has learned that an airplane has crashed in Lake Guntersville near the Guntersville Airport.
Emergency responders say the plane was flying from Scottsboro to Guntersville.
Two men were on the plane, neither is injured.
WHNT was told the two men realized one of the engines on the plane died about 4,200 feet in the air, and they made the call for an emergency landing.
The plane landed in the shallow part of Lake Guntersville, so the men were able to get out of the plane and stand on top of it until emergency responders could get to them.
The plane is still in the water until crews can get it out.
Responders say the same type of incident happened three months ago.
