TALLADEGA, Ala. (WIAT) – Authorities in Calhoun and Talladega counties are asking for the public’s help locating a suspect in two rape cases.
Two sketches were released Tuesday afternoon of what is believed to be the same man.
He is wanted in a rape case from Calhoun County in July of 2012 and one in Talladega County in July of 2013.
Even though the sketches appear very different, officials are confident the suspect is the same person.
“There’s one person we were given information about we were told this particular person, they started running, they started working out, they have changed,” Sheriff Larry Amerson said. “So those [sketches] are not out of the realm of possibility.”
The man is suspected of raping two elderly women. In one of the cases, he posed as a book salesman to lure the victim into opening her door.
