BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – As a part of Constitution Week, which is an annual celebration highlighting the foundation of the United States’ laws, Minor Elementary School held a Constitution Day celebration.

The event was hosted by Congressman Spencer Bachus and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

“We want the students to learn history about our country, particularly about how our Constitution was written and how we became a country on September the 17th, 226 years ago,” said Halcy Ann Badham with the Daughters of the American Revolution.
