BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) –Fire crews spent much of the early Tuesday morning hours at a house fire on Birmingham’s west side.

They were called out just before 5 a.m. to a home on Lomb Avenue and Cotton Avenue, not far from Princeton Hospital.

The fire broke out toward the rear of the home.

No one was inside when firefighters arrived.

The homeowner tells CBS42 that he has had a problem with people breaking into the house and staying there.
