(WIAT) – Rev Birmingham is collaborating with area businesses for the “REVIVE: The Street Life Project.”
Small business owners, artists and aspiring business owners will set up shop in vacant store from along 3rd Avenue North for one week.
The project is hoped to restore interest in five target commercial districts in Birmingham. It’s an effort to showcase what Birmingham’s urban commercial districts can look like if they are revitalized.
Throughout the month of October, Rev Birmingham will focus on five districts, 3rd Ave. North from 19th to 20th Street, East Lake, Ensley, Five Points South and Woodlawn.
The first of five POPUP events will take place on September 30th and run through October 4th.
