Blunt force trauma cited in death of Ala. woman

FORT PAYNE, Ala. (AP) — DeKalb County sheriff’s officials say a Fort Payne woman who was killed by her nephew died of blunt force trauma to her head.

Authorities say 54-year-old Felicia Ann Lindsey had been reported missing Monday night and was found in a crawl space under her house.

Sheriff’s officials say her 22-year-old nephew, Max Zeller, tried cleaning up the crime scene and took Lindsey’s car to Cherokee County, Ga.

Cherokee County officials have said the man shot himself while deputies were searching his mobile home Tuesday morning and was later pronounced dead.

The motive that led to Lindsey’s slaying is unclear and authorities say the incident is under investigation.
