JASPER, Ala. (WIAT) — The Walker County District Attorney’s office plans to have Wanda Kiser back in Jasper by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
She is currently behind bars in West Virginia, being held on two counts of concealing two dead bodies.
When she is extradited back to Alabama she will be tried on 17 counts of forgery in the 10 year old cold case of two missing elderly Jasper women Mary Cobb and her daughter Wynona Delvecchio.
Meanwhile, the trickle down effect of the federal government’s shutdown makes it’s way from the Smithsonian to Walker county.
CBS 42’s Melissa Crabtree explains how this could impact the case against Kiser.
