Parrish Alleman

I joined WIAT 42 in February 2014 as a reporter for Wake Up Alabama. I am thrilled to be back in Alabama and closer to friends and family.

I grew up as a military brat and moved around a lot before my family settled in Montgomery, AL. After I graduated high school, my parents moved back to their hometown in Florida but I stayed in Alabama for college. I graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Broadcast News, Roll Tide!

I got my start in news at U of A, working as a Reporter/Photographer for nearly two years at WVUA. I left WVUA to work in Corpus Christi, TX and then Wichita, KS; so I have covered just about everything Mother Nature has to offer from hurricanes to tornadoes to blizzards and have seen the destruction those storms can leave behind. In April 2012, I was in a community just minutes after an EF- 3 tornado tore through it, destroying of hundreds of homes.

I am happy to be back home in Alabama and even more excited to join the team at WIAT 42. I am looking forward to bringing you the latest news, as it’s happening, first thing in the morning on Wake Up Alabama.
