MONTEVALLO, Ala. (WIAT) – On Tuesday morning, CBS42 spoke with Chief Jeremy Littleton of the Montevallo Police Department about the shooting in the parking lot of Falcon Manor Apartments, Monday night. Littleton says there have been no arrests as investigators continue to search for whoever is responsible for the shooting.

The department received a call around 10:30 pm Monday of shots fired in the 200 block of Overton Road. One female victim was struck one time and was transported to a hospital with life threatening injuries. Her condition is not known at this time. Chief Littleton says these types of crimes are rare in the typically calm college town in Shelby County. He also added that this shooting is an isolated incident.

Montevallo Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has information about the shooting to call Montevallo Police at (205) 665-1264.
