Suspect in Walmart bank robbery arrested

BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Hueytown police arrested and charged a man in connection with a possible bomb threat and robbery.

Joshua Humphries, 36, was arrested Friday and charged with first-degree robbery and making a terrorist threat.

Humphries faces $75,000 bond.

Another suspect, 24-year-old Micah Curry, was arrested as well.

Police in Bessemer responded to reports of a robbery at a Walmart located on Academy Drive on Thursday.

Authorities say Humphries went into the store, walked up to the Woodforest Bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

Police say he left with $538 and fled in a gray or tan 90s Toyota Corolla.
