BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -The snow shut down more than just interstates and hospitals. It also had a negative impact on courthouses in the region. Registration and payments for car titles and tags are all time sensitive.
Drivers who had not yet paid would typically be looking at a late fee. But Jefferson County Commissioners voted today to give car owners a 10-day grace period because of the snowstorm.
If you’re still waiting to get your car tag up to date, you have until February 10th to do so, without penalty.
