TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — Police in Tuscaloosa arrested a suspect Thursday who is believed to be responsible for a January murder.
Demetrius Rashad Foster, 26, was arrested and charged with capital murder for the shooting death of Joshua Gardner.
Gardner, 24, was found with a gunshot wound in his chest on Jan. 9 at around 11:15 p.m.
He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center for surgery, but died from his injuries on Jan. 29.
Police believe the shooting may have been drug related.
On Friday, homicide investigators issued a capital murder warrant for Foster’s arrest.
He was found at a friend’s house and taken to the Tuscaloosa County Jail. He’s being held without bond.
