Overnight storms cause some damage in Jasper

WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — In Walker County, a tense night of lightning and wind gusts gave way to a calm clear day. However, the storm didn’t leave the county unscathed.

Wind gusts caused down trees and snapped large limbs off. Some yard furniture was strewn across lawns.

Three-month-old Kylie saw quite the roller coaster during the storm, according to her grandmother.

Some folks say that after the past two or three weeks of severe winter weather, it’s hard to know what to believe concerning what type of weather is coming next.

They say they just want some consistency – one day it’s cold and the next day it’s hot.

No injuries were reported during the storms.
