Fairfield Papa John’s employees robbed of deposits at gunpoint

FAIRFIELD, Ala. (WIAT) – Fairfield Police confirm they were on the scene of a robbery at an area pizza restaurant this morning, Monday, February 24.

It happened a little after 11:15 a.m. Monday morning, at the Papa John’s Pizza located off of Aaron Aronov Drive. The suspect is said to be a black male dressed in camouflage. Police are on the scene now investigating the incident.

Reportedly, the manager and a store worker walked out the door with what is said to have been seven days’ worth of deposits. As they were leaving the store, the suspect came up with a gun and robbed them, took the money, and ran off on foot.
