BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A warning for a common pain reliever. A new study finds a link between acetaminophen and children with ADHD; specifically, those children whose mother’s took the drug during pregnancy.
The 17-year-long study found that women, who took acetaminophen during the second and third trimester, had a greater risk of having a child with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Scientist suspect the drug affects hormones that are critical to fetal brain development.
