Tuscaloosa set to install more red light cameras

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — The City of Tuscaloosa plans to install more red light cameras within the next month.

Five more cameras will be installed over the next few weeks.

Cameras are being installed at intersections in various parts of town, but most will be placed at lights that intersect with McFarland Boulevard.

Wires are being placed at lights off Skyland Boulevard and Lurleen Wallace Boulevard, as well as James Harrison Parkway.

City engineers expect the cameras to be up and running within a month.
