Hoover police searching for woman accused of credit theft

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Hoover police are trying to find a woman, they say, has racked up thousands of dollars all over the Birmingham area. They’re warning people to keep a very close eye on their credit information. The victim lives in another state and she’s not even sure how this woman got a hold of her credit card information. But police say somehow she did, and she’s gone on a shopping spree in several cities including: Birmingham, Hoover, and Irondale. Security video of the woman was taken at a local store, where the suspect used a credit card she opened in the victim’s name.
