Police investigating early morning shooting in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Police in Birmingham are investigating an early morning shooting that left one woman with eye injuries.

The shooting happened after an altercation at the Foxx Trapp Night Club around 3 a.m. Monday.

A couple who were involved in the altercation left the night club to head home.

While they were driving they heard the back window explode from gunfire as they neared the Roebuck Parkway exit.

Dominique Hall was struck in the eye with a bullet. She was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment and was later moved to Callahan Eye Center for further treatment.

Police are still looking for a suspect in the shooting.
