BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The 40 days of life campaign kicked off Tuesday with a vigil on the city’s Southside.
Pro-life supporters gathered in prayer outside of the temporarily Planned Parenthood.
Supporters hope Birmingham an abortion free city and are encouraging others to contact their state representatives in support of four bills tightening the process of getting an abortion in the state that passed the House Tuesday night.
“Any bills that move forward to help the issues of life and the sanctity of human life, preserving the sanctity of life, making clinics safer for women, we consider those victories when they get through a political process,” said Reverend Terry Gensemer.
The 40 Days of Life campaign lasts until April 20th.
