Routine traffic stop turns into drug bust

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) — A typical traffic stop led to a big drug bust in Jefferson County. Deputies say they found a substantial amount of drugs inside the car. Investigator say 21-year-old DeMarco Gray had 35 bags of heroin and prescription pills on him. Woodrow Embry, 26-years-old is accused of having 12 bags of heroin and 27 bags of cocaine.

Reportedly, this is not either individual’s first run-in with the law. We’re told both men had outstanding warrants on them.
