Birds invade small English town

Bird invasion

(WIAT) — It’s a scene that may remind you of an Alfred Hitchcock thriller; but it’s real this time.

About 20,000 birds have invaded an English village. They’re called “starlings” and come from Scandinavia. The birds may create an amazing sight in the skies, but they’re wreaking havoc on the people down below, and making a mess!

Those in the area can’t leave their house without an umbrella. And there’s nothing anyone can do about them because the birds are a protected species. All anyone can do is wait for the birds to leave, and keep their heads covered.
