Crews still searching for missing man in Black Warrior River

EUTAW, Ala. (WIAT) — The search continued Wednesday for a man who disappeared in the Black Warrior River in Greene County.

Investigators say 42-year-old Kevin Gray was in a car with his brother Sunday evening when it plowed through a guardrail and went into the water.

Gray’s brother, Brian Smith, was able to swim to shore.  Crews pulled the car out of the river Monday night.

As of Wednesday, crews still have not found any sign of Gray.

His family is holding on to hope that he’s still alive, though.

They’re holding a prayer service Wednesday evening at Pine Grow Baptist Church in Eutaw. The service begins at 6 p.m.
