New suit targets Carnival Cruise

Carnival Triumph

MOBILE, Ala. (WIAT) — Passengers on the troubled Carnival Cruise Triumph are asking for $5,000 a month, for life. Court papers show 33 passengers filed the suit. They’re asking for money for medical bills and mental anguish.

This is the second suit filed in the 2013 voyage. The ship left Galveston, Texas for a four day cruise, then lost power after a fire. That meant no cooking, electricity, or working bathrooms. Some passengers say they still have nightmares about the cruise.
