BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — One of the most difficult stories journalists have to report on is when a young driver is killed in an automobile accident.
That’s why events like the one held Wednesday, the 5th annual Teen Driving Summit, are so important.
The one-day summit is designed to show how real the danger of getting behind the wheel of a car.
It also helps educate young drivers on the state’s graduated drivers license.
Alabama ranks second in the nation in crashes where a teen is killed behind the wheel.
