BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The crackdown on synthetic drugs in Alabama continues. A Birmingham man was sentenced to more than 5 years in prison for manufacturing and distributing the substance known as “spice”. Police say 28 year-old Robert Pressler pleaded guilty in December. He’s charged with using his apartment on Birmingham’s Southside for making the drug, and shipping it through the US Postal Service.
Pressler took orders for the drug through a website.
