Globetrotters assist program that aims to end bullying

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – The Harlem Globetrotters are known for their amazing slam dunks and unbelievable passes. However, it’s not all fun and games for the famous squad. They’ve teamed up with the National Campaign to Stop Violence to focus on the dangers of bullying.

“It’s not right, bullying is not right. Treat others the way you want to be treated, um the golden rule you know, uh and you’ll receive the same in return. And if I only touch one kid when I left, then i’ve done my job, and then that one kid will be my messenger” -Buckets Blakes, Harlem Globetrotters

The program is aimed at kids between the ages of 6 and 12. Using the ABC’s, Action, Bravery and Compassion, it teaches them how to use support and teamwork to stop bullying once and for all.
