MCCALLA, Ala. (WIAT) — A 26-year-old woman was fatally shot by a man who then turned the gun on himself Sunday night, according to Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Randy Christian.
Christian says Angelica Jones was found suffering from a gunshot wound when deputies responded to the scene. She was taken to a hospital for treatment and later died from her injuries.
Eddie Bradford, 38, was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot.
Bradford and Jones had been in a dating relationship, and reports indicate Jones had recently ended the relationship.
Christian says Bradford made threats to kill Jones if they did not get back together. His car was found by detectives a half mile away hidden behind a church.
Bradford walked to Jones’ residence to confront her and got into an argument. During the argument he pulled out a gun and shot her before turning the gun on himself.
