Report: Alzheimer’s more likely for women over 60


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Women, age 60 and older, have a 1 in 6 chance of getting Alzheimer’s disease in their lifetime. According to a report from the Alzheimer’s Association, older women are twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s, than breast cancer.

Alzheimer’s affects women more than men, almost two out of every three Alzheimer’s patients are women. Currently there is no cure.
