GREENE COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) – The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can help them track down Kevin Gray. Investigators say Gray was in a car that slammed through a guardrail and went into the river on March 9th. Almost two weeks later, there is still no sign of him.
Crews have searched the water and nearby woods, but not a shred of evidence has turned up. It appears Gray disappeared without a trace, leaving his family with many unanswered questions.
“I have worked whole-heartedly with the family and I can feel what they’re going through. And I can tell you what I’m going through and my department. We’ve had some tireless days and some tireless nights. And we want to bring this to a closure for the family.” -Sheriff Jonathan Benison, Greene County
Friday, crews replaced the guardrail that was damaged when the car Gray was riding in plunged into the river. Investigators have determined that car was going 130 miles an hour.
