BOSTON, Mass. (CNN) — An eight-year-old girl, who survived the Boston Marathon bombing, has received a new leg almost a year after the attack.
Jane Richard lost her leg in the explosions last April. Her eight-year-old brother Martin was killed.
Her family says her new leg is a “cheetah” running leg. It’s designed for athletics and for everyday use.
The leg is a gift from an organization called “Wiggle your Toes” and her team at United Prosthetics who built it.
