BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Last June, two 17-year-old twins were murdered inside their home in Wylam. Police made four arrests in that case, but new court orders are dropping charges against two of the defendants in the case, and reducing bond for a third.
Charges against Dayjuan Tuggle and Quentin Nixon were dropped on Friday after District Attorney Brandon Falls filed a motion to end the prosecution against them. The D.A. also requested that bond be reduced for Crystal Nelson.
Nelson is charged with two counts of felony murder. The court order says she was receiving death threats.
Stanley Chatman remains in jail without bond, charged with two counts of capital murder.
