BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The future of Cooper Green Mercy Hospital and the medical care of Jefferson County’s poor is once again the topic of discussion.
State representative John Rogers and Nancy Moore held a news conference concerning the hospital.
Rogers and Moore were against the move to turn the former hospital into an urgent care facility.
Currently, UAB has an agreement to help indigent patients who normally would have gone to Cooper Green.
