Eric Higdon sentenced to 20+ years for child sex abuse charges

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Eric Higdon, a teenager convicted of child sex abuse charges was sentenced on Tuesday.

Higdon was sentenced for two counts of sodomy. One count he was sentenced to 23 years for, the second count he was sentenced to 15 years. Both counts will be served concurrently meaning Higdon will be in prison for 23 years. He was convicted in February on two counts of child sexual abuse. The crimes happened at Mama’s Place Christian Academy in Clay.
