More reports of cars targeted in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Numerous viewers have come forward since CBS42’s initial reports of cars being targeted while driving on the Red Mountain Expressway.

Many have stated they too have sustained damage from objects shot or thrown from the Highland Avenue bridge.

The latest viewer to come forward is Rich Albright.

Albright says his car was hit on March 8, 2014. He didn’t take the brunt of the impact – that was done to the car in front of him.

Still, the object caused a dent on his car.

Albright says it led to some tense moments as cars swerved everywhere.

“If I had not been aware of where I was, I could have hit a car,” Albright said. “If I had slammed on my brakes, stopped short, the car behind me could have hit me.”
