AUBURN, Ala. (WIAT) – Toomer’s Corner has been the scene of many victory celebrations where auburn fans gather for the traditional toilet paper rolling of the trees. The famed corner in Auburn will once again show signs of life pretty soon. The university will break ground at the beginning of April on a re-development plan for the famous site.
There will be new pavers, circular seating wall, and the contaminated soil will be removed and replaced. New oak trees will be the centerpiece, but they won’t be planted until early 2015.
