BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — It’s been shut down for years, and has been the victim of fire after fire. But as of Friday, it’s still standing. CBS42 wanted to find out more about the planned demolition of the former Adams Inn Hotel in downtown Birmingham.
A man died in the condemned building in February. Shortly after the man’s death, the city announced the building would be demolished. A spokesperson for the city of Birmingham says that the demolition will begin in the next 10 to 14 days. Crews have been working inside to remove asbestos from the building
