VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WIAT) — Residents of Vestavia Hills will be able to renew their tags at the Vestavia Hills Municipal building starting April 1st.
Vestavia is a test city under a law passed in to help reduce the long winding lines many have experienced at the Jefferson County Courthouse.
Leaders in several other cities will be paying close attention to how things go in Vestavia Hills in order to decide if they want to jump on board with the program.
Leeds, Clay, Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Sylvan Springs and Irondale have all expressed interest.
You’ll need you’re tag renewal card you received in the mail, or last year’s tag receipt, valid ID and proof of insurance. There will be $5 local processing fee.
