Tuscaloosa, Ala. (WIAT)-Jalston Fowler is now a veteran on Alabama’s offense and has exemplified perseverance. After redshirting his junior season, he has made sure that his knee injury won’t be the defining point in his career at the University of Alabama.
“I just had everybody behind me telling me I can do it,” said Fowler. “Just a setback for a major come back.”
“He is one of the best players we have in my opinion,” said Alabama offensive lineman Austin Shepherd. “He is just an animal. I really like playing with him. He is always going to give you his all and he has definitely stepped into a leadership role.”
Alabama has now put in five practices this spring and so far Jalston Fowler has been seen working out with the running backs. What exactly does that mean for a utility guy in Lane Kiffin’s new offense?
“Coach Kiffin likes to play fullback in his offense and he told me himself, the more I can do the more I can stay on the field so I am looking forward to having a pretty big role on the offense this year,” Fowler said.
